   Maritime Safety Company II, founded by the Decision No. 2269/QĐ-BGTVT of the Minister of Transport dated July 4th, 2005, performs products, services, public utilities corresponding to maritime navigation safety in Vietnamese Territorial Waters.
 
The Company was taken shape from the managing mechanism of the Viet Nam Maritime Safety Agency which formed and developed from 1955. Its Managing Limits determined thereof comprising of approaching port channels, other navigable channels existing southwardly from Sa Huynh Light house ( Quang Ngai Province ) to the land-end of Kien Giang province, included of related lands, seashores , atolls and islands.
 
The Company has joined, as the nation-members, in the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO).
 
Maritime Safety Company II manages seven member-units which its main offices located in the service area along the seacoasts and one Branch in Ho Chi Minh City.

  The Company implements the public utilities in the field of navigation safety in the Vietnamese territorial waters, port access channels, other navigable channels existing southwardly from Sa Huynh Light  house ( Quang Ngai Province ) to the land-end of Kien Giang province,  included of related lands, seashores , atolls and islands.


• The berth can accommodate 1000-ton vessels
• 2-ha premises of storage yard
• 400-ton slipway for building and repairing waterborne craft
• Specialized vehicle team with 16-ton crane truck, 10-ton lorry, 10-ton forklift
• Dedicated equipment and machines such as plate rolling machines, hydraulic press brake, shearing machines, steam hammers, lathes, strain test station used for testing industrial equipment
• Vessel fleet serving establishing and replacing Aids to navigation buoys and shipping cargoes
• Equipment and machines serving construction of marine works
• Modern equipment and facilities for river and offshore survey
• Hotel catering for tourism
